Plumtree

Christian - well done for posting the digipak and poster but I was expecting to see the latest draft of the video as well. Please make sure this is added as a matter of urgency so that we can see the progress from the first cut and look at anything else that might need amending.

Positives:
  • There is good continuity between the four panels on your digipak and your use of the images.
  • Good colour co-ordination to the poster from the digipak
  • The text on the poster wraps around the image effectively
Improvements:
  •  The image on the poster looks completely different to all the images on the digipak and this affects the continuity as to the identity of your artist. It is more detailed in its drawing where the smaller images are that much less defined.
  • The interior panel that has the track listing needs to be different. Maybe have a list of people to thank, a song lyric, band members...
  • The back panel needs a bar code and maybe the record company logo.
  • They all look a bit 2D and lacking in depth. You could try adding some shading to the text to help with this.

Poster Completed (Final)

This is my completed, final poster for my Digipack. This was drawn based upon a photo of my artist, coloured with distinctive colours and then scanned in to be edited on Serif and partly Photoshop. The poster includes real ratings the album received when it was released which creates a better sense of realism. To make sure the poster and Digipack look related, I made sure to use the same design style as the Digipack, giving the poster a bright and eye-catching appearance to entice the consumer.

Digi Pack Progress

This is my completed digipack design I made for the album my chosen song is featured in. The aim was to create a digipack that would repersent my artists themes and styles, making the images and effects reflect the conventions of the songs and the original artist (Bruno Mars) so it is appropriate. i tried to create a bright and vibrant set of digipack panels, in order to capture and repersent the feel of the artist and what his music is like.

for the front cover, it needed to stand out, therefore i included a group of 4 birght colours to get the consumers attention and instantly show what kind of music genre this album features. Using 4 different drawn photos of my artist was a way to incorperate more colours into the front colour and also to make my digipack more unique and help it stand out from others.

The back and interor pages are very simular, both feature larger versions of the artist from the front cover to keep continuity, they also both feature information about the digi pack itself such as the songs and copyright. The disc cover has the least amount of detail, this is because It would have the digipack disc over the majority of the page. It still features the intial 4 bright colours that has been seen on the other pages to keep it eye-catching and to keep continuity.
